Veterans Handyman Services is proud to announce that we are forming an alliance with “ The People's Pallet Project”, with the help of local city governments around the Bay Area. This initiative will provide temporary shelter for persons experiencing homelessness at no cost to the recipient.
VHS will allot materials and labor to erect individual shelters on a case by case basis, provide job training and rehabilitation in basic carpentry skills for participants, and mentoring selected participants in engaging in entrepreneurial initiatives with the assistance of the Veterans Administration as well as the SBA.
Homelessness has been identified as the #1 common concern among all Californians regardless of political affiliation. We are starting to understand as a society that we all share commonalities in terms of needs, yet not all are in a position to fulfill those basic needs without assistance. The People's Pallet Project's mission is to provide the comfort of temporary shelter to those experiencing homelessness.
